The
Broadcast Executives Society is a forum for the broadcast industry.
Additionally, its members host a wide range of networking, social,
educational and charitable activities.
As colleagues in this important industry, our objective is to
augment each other's professionalism and knowledge, helping to coordinate
our services in a mutually beneficial way.
The Society has approximately three hundred members:
representatives from radio, television and cable, broadcast sales
executives, film producers and distributors, advertising agency personnel,
advertisers and other executives involved in the business of broadcasting.
A message from your President:
On January 12th, around 5PM local time, a devastating earthquake with a magnitude of 7.0 struck the island of Haiti, one of the poorest nations in the world, where 80 percent of it’s population lives in poverty. Over 200,000 people were estimated killed, over 1 million more displaced and homeless. The full scope of this human tragedy may never be entirely known, and the rebuilding process will take years. The Broadcast Executives Society supports our Canadian broadcast family – Radio and TV – whose combined efforts have raised over $11 million dollars through a variety of broadcasting events, held across the country in the weeks following the disaster. We are mindful that the work in Haiti continues long after these broadcasts have ended, and encourage all Members to continue to offer their support by logging on to www.redcross.ca
